Portable Responds to Assault Video Controversy with Threats to Critic

Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has reacted fiercely to social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) after VDM condemned his alleged assault on a man during Felabration, a festival honoring the late Afrobeat icon, Fela Kuti. In response, Portable shared a video on his Instagram page, declaring that he is capable of confronting VDM directly. He issued a bold statement, suggesting that he could easily overpower him. “Online madness dey different from real life madness. I go bend you, I go mend you. I go cripple you. I am a one-man battalion,” he said, challenging VDM to confront him in Abuja.

We had a one-on-one fighting, man to man,” Portable explained, emphasizing that the altercation was justified in his view.
