Portable Reveals $6,000 Show Cancellation for Davido Meeting, Accuses Davido of Wasting His Time
Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has opened up about an incident involving his fellow artist, Davido. Portable revealed that he canceled a $6,000 performance in the United States back in June just to meet with Davido, but felt that the DMW boss ultimately wasted his time.
Portable and Davido had a falling out after their meeting, where Portable publicly accused Davido of giving him “bad advice” during a dinner they had in the U.S. The “Zazoo Zeh” crooner also expressed his disappointment with Davido for gifting him a pair of shoes instead of the $10,000 he expected.
In a recent interview with Echo Room, Portable recounted the incident, stating that he canceled not one but two shows at Davido’s request, hoping for a collaboration. However, he claims the promise of a feature was not fulfilled.
Portable said, “I was on my own in the United States when Davido called me, saying he wants us to link up. I canceled a $6,000 show to meet him. I still canceled another show in his presence because he promised me a feature but he ended up wasting my time. If you want to help me, help me and don’t stress me.”
Since Portable began publicly addressing the situation, Davido has unfollowed him on social media.
