PSL still the best league in Africa – Zakri
Zakri : “I made so many mistakes in South Africa. When I joined Sundowns I was on top form from Asec Mimosas. It’s my fault that I didn’t flourish, off the pitch life in South Africa is tempting a lot. So you can’t balance these two things at the same time at that Highest level and professional league in Africa as a Foreigner .
Only South African Players who are good on that because they know that lifestyle from a very young age. I was caught many times having fun with beauties at my room. Life is on a fast lane in RSA,. If you have money everything is easy to get over there. It’s indeed a country of freedom, it’s up to you to control your behavior.
It’s real hard to be strong at Training in the morning when you didn’t sleep the whole night having fun. But I don’t know how the RSA players and Zimbabweans do it, because they are all fresh in the morning, meanwhile am suffering from hangovers.
At Maritzburg United I was helped and I improved from doing night life. Now I am back home doing real well with Asec Mimosas. But I miss PSL with the money and glamor. I think that is the best league in terms of Salary, professionalism and standard in Africa . You can see their local Players they are not real desperate to move to Europe because they are well looked after. European clubs they go to RSA to look for players, not RSA players going to Europe to look for Clubs. There are also white European players there, they real give the PSL applauds. They also knew to that life and they like it too.
