On Sunday, February 18, 2024, thousands of members from the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) congregated in Abuja for a prayer walk, seeking divine intervention for Nigeria’s current security and economic challenges.

Led by Pastor Tunde Benjamin Laniyi of RCCG Throne Room, Transcorp Abuja, the prayer walk, an annual event held by the RCCG, took place in 190 countries globally, with this year’s theme titled “HEALING.”

During the event, Pastor Laniyi emphasized the belief that divine intervention knows no bounds, affirming the congregation’s fervent prayers for healing in the country and calling on God to address Nigeria’s pressing issues.

Former Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor (retired), addressed the congregation, acknowledging the prevailing security and economic challenges in the country while emphasizing hope. He urged Nigerians, particularly the youth, not to lose faith and encouraged them to believe in the nation’s potential.

General Irabor highlighted the pivotal role of the youth in Nigeria’s growth and success, urging them to maintain faith and look beyond the ordinary. He noted that Nigeria’s challenges are not unique and expressed confidence in the nation’s ability to overcome them.
