Supporters of President Jair Bolsonaro breached security barriers and gained access to Brazil’s congressional building, the Supreme Court and the presidential palace.
More than 400 supporters of former president Jair Bolsonaro were detained during the protests. According to Brazilian media, they could face up to 12 years in prison.
