Samklef Criticizes Davido for Insensitive Remarks About Israel DMW’s Ex-Wife
Nigerian music producer, Samklef, has strongly criticized popular singer Davido for mocking his logistics manager, Israel DMW’s estranged wife, Sheila Courage. The criticism came after a video surfaced on social media showing Davido making insensitive comments about Sheila, following her separation from Israel DMW. In the video, Davido was seen boarding his new private jet with Israel and made a remark suggesting that Sheila was now filled with regret over their failed marriage.
It’s worth recalling that Israel DMW tied the knot with Sheila on October 20, 2022. Unfortunately, the couple separated within less than a year amidst allegations of domestic violence and infidelity. Despite the sensitive nature of their breakup, Davido’s public comment sparked outrage online, leading to Samklef expressing his disapproval.
Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Samklef voiced his concerns, accusing Davido of lacking empathy and moral values. He pointed out that fellow Nigerian artists Wizkid and Burna Boy would never use such degrading language when referring to someone’s ex-wife. Samklef further questioned how Davido would feel if someone called his wife, Chioma, such disrespectful names, adding that Davido should be more mindful of his words.
Samklef continued by criticizing Davido’s attitude, stating that flying in a private jet does not make someone happy or morally superior. He emphasized that Davido seems to lack proper mentorship and guidance, urging the artist to grow up and behave more maturely. Samklef also called out Davido’s fanbase, accusing them of ignoring the singer’s childish and hurtful behavior.
In his closing remarks, Samklef stressed that Davido needs counseling and mentorship, reminding him that success and happiness do not come from material things like private jets but from showing empathy and behaving with integrity.
