Seyi Vibez Reflects on Leaving Home at 15 to Hustle for Survival

Singer Balogun Afolabi Oluwaloseyi, popularly known as Seyi Vibez, has shared his remarkable journey of leaving home at the age of 15 to hustle for himself. The “Different Pattern” hitmaker recounted how his family encouraged him to leave their difficult living conditions in the ghetto to seek a better life for himself and to support his family.

In a recent interview with Cool FM, Lagos, Seyi Vibez opened up about his challenging early years. He said, “I left home when I was 15. Things were difficult in the ghetto, so I had to make way for myself. Even my own family freed me. They said, ‘Go, don’t die here. It’s better you go away and hustle for yourself’.”

Seyi Vibez gained widespread popularity with the release of his breakthrough single “Chance (Na Ham)” in 2022. The success of this track propelled him into the limelight, and he went on to win the Best Street-Hop Artiste award at the 16th Headies Awards in 2023.
