“Sorry Politics is in my blood” – Davido

Award-winning Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, also known as Davido, says he can’t stay away from politics because it is in his blood.

The popular superstar reacted to a Twitter user, who advised him to avoid politics. Davido instantly reiterated

“Sorry it’s in my blood and it’s def my passion … and it ain’t stopping sh*t!”
Davido recently addressed a recent court order restraining the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), from recognising his uncle, senator Ademola Adeleke, as the candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the oncoming Osun governorship election. This comes despite Senator Adeleke winning the PDP governorship primary as declared by the party’s leadership.

Last week, Ademola was declared the winner of the parallel PDP governorship primary election backed by the national working committee (NWC) of the party, while Dotun Babayemi, was announced as the winner of the Olagunsoye Oyinlola faction.

In reaction, Davido wrote, “Stop spreading this nonsense cap, state courts don’t have jurisdiction, only federal high courts can handle post primary matters. Keep fooling y’all selves! #IMOLEDE.”
