Portable, who once boasted of daily cash distributions amounting to nearly N2 million, has now expressed remorse for his previous behavior. During a recent live interaction, he defended his actions, claiming they were gestures of kindness towards people. However, footage showing him splattering cash has evidently prompted a change of heart, with Portable now seeking forgiveness from both the government and the EFCC.
In his statement, Portable vowed to discontinue the practice of money spraying and urged his supporters to open bank accounts, indicating a shift towards digital transactions. “I didn’t deface the Naira. I help a lot of people. After God, it’s the government. Please forgive me if you have videos of me spraying money. No more spraying of money,” he declared.
Meanwhile, Bobrisky’s legal woes culminated in a six-month jail term, with the sentence retroactively starting from March 24, 2024, the day of his arrest. This follows his guilty plea to four counts of Naira currency abuse filed against him by the EFCC, as ruled by the court on April 5, 2024.
