In an emotional interview with Entertainment Tonight, published on Tuesday, May 28, Farrell reflected on her relationship with Wactor. Despite their breakup, she has chosen to keep the engagement ring, an heirloom from her grandparents, who were married for fifty years.
“It was a really beautiful moment, and I always — I had it on before and I always will have it on because it reminds me of, you know, true love or everlasting love,” Farrell explained, emphasizing her attachment to the ring. “Sadly, it has another meaning to it now, but, you know, I’m grateful — at least I have it still and I have memories of him.”
At the time of their engagement, they had not purchased a new ring. Instead, they used her grandparents’ jewelry to symbolize their commitment. This ring now holds a dual significance for Farrell, representing both her past engagement and her enduring connection to Wactor.
Farrell also shared her ongoing struggle to come to terms with Wactor’s untimely death. The two first met in 2013 after she moved to Los Angeles with aspirations to become an actress. They got engaged shortly after but eventually ended their romantic relationship, remaining good friends until his death.
