Three signs your body shows when you consume too much sugar

Sugar is one of the most consumed substances all over the world. Sugars are a type of simple carbohydrate that exists naturally in some foods and drinks. They are also an additive in some foods and drinks. Sugar is a form of carbohydrate and when you consume it, the body breaks down all carbohydrates into sugar.

Excess sugar intake can trigger various kinds of health conditions.  Eating too much sugar can steer to health problems, such as heightening the risk of weight gain, diabetes, tooth cavities, and more.

There are different signs your body will begin to give you once your begin to consume too much sugar. Some of them include;

1. Joint pain

Eating too much-processed sugar induces the body to release pro-inflammatory proteins called cytokines. When cytokines levels are high in the body, it can lead to chronic inflammation which causes pain, swelling, and stiffness in your joints.

Cells need insulin to absorb glucose from the blood. If the cells do not take in sufficient glucose, it can accumulate in the blood. The cells need glucose to procure energy. Fatigue and weakness might result when the cells do not get sufficient glucose.

3. Increased appetite

Excess sugar consumption, particularly fructose, can steer to a boosted appetite. A high-fructose diet may stimulate the body to generate more ghrelin and affect activity in specific regions of the brain to make a person feel less full.
