Toolz Oniru Recounts Almost Missing Wedding Flight Amidst 8-Year Anniversary Celebration

Popular on-air personality and podcast host, Toolz Oniru, recently celebrated eight years of marriage with her husband. Reflecting on their journey, Toolz shared a humorous yet stressful incident from the day they were supposed to fly to Dubai for their wedding.

On Instagram, Toolz narrated how she overslept and nearly missed her flight, causing a frenzy. She recalled, “Year 8! Funny story, the day we were supposed to fly out to Dubai for our wedding, I overslept and nearly missed my flight. My security guard and sister were banging on my front door, and I was on some next level of sleep.”

She woke up to numerous missed calls from her husband, who was already at the airport, as well as other family members. Panicked and in tears, Toolz called her husband, Captain Tunde Demuren, exclaiming, “Tell me what to do!!” Believing she had missed her flight, she was in a state of distress.

However, her husband’s calm demeanor prevailed. Toolz recounted his reassuring words: “He managed to calm me down and said, ‘Just come down now.’” She quickly got dressed and rushed to the airport, miraculously making the flight in time.

The heartfelt post concluded with a prayer for continued love and joy in their marriage: “May God grant us many more years together full of love, understanding, and joy! May we continue to grow and learn to be better partners for each other with God at the centre of it all. Cheers to 8!!!”
