Sofiane Boufal (3 goals)
Country: Morocco
Following 83 minutes at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium, Sofiane Boufal scored the only goal of Morocco’s 1-0 victory over Ghana in their opening Group C match and went on to become the man of the match of the game as well.
Afterwards, he went on to score two other goals in his nation other games against Gabon and Egypt at the tournament, in order to become one of the AFCON 2021 highest goal scorers
Ibrahima Kone (3 goals)
Country: Mali
The FC Lorient forward, put away the only goal in Mali’s opening AFCON game against Tunisia, as they won the game 1-0 with a penalty in the 48th minute.
He went on to score two other penalties for his nation, so as to become the first player to score three goals for Mali in a single Africa Cup of Nations since Seydou Keita in 2013.
With his three goals all of them scored from the penalty spot, he also went to become the first player to score three penalties in a single Afcon edition since Ghana’s Mubarak Wubaso in 2013.
Gabadinho Mhango (3 goals)

Mhango scored the opener for the Flames in the seventh minute of their 2-1 defeat to Morocco in their Africa Cup of Nations Round of 16 fixture.
He also piled up two other goals in their second Group B fixture against Zimbabwe by scoring a double in their triumph over the Warriors 2-1 to become one of the AFCON 2021 highest goal scorers
Sadio Mane (3 goals)

Liverpool’s forward made a great feat at the AFCON 2021, when he put away three goals and bagged two assists in order to lead his side Senegal to grab their first AFCON championship.
Karl Toko Ekambi (5 goals)
Country: Cameroon
Ekambi earned the second position among the AFCON 2021 highest goal scorers as he piled up 5 goals in the tournament.
That is to say, he put away two goals in a 4–1 group triumph over Ethiopia, and the opening goal of a 2–1 victory over Comoros in the last 16.
Then he went on to make even more dazzle when he netted both goals against the Gambia in the quarter-finals on 29 January.
Vincent Aboubakar (8 goals)
Country: Cameroon
The 30-year old Al Nassr striker picked up the honour to receive the Golden Boot award at AFCON 2021 for scoring 8 goals in the tournament. He also cemented the second place on the list of the AFCON top scorers of all-time in a single tournament, behind only Ndaye Mulamba of Zaire who racked up 9 goals in 1974.
He scored in every match else for the semi-finals against Egypt which ended 0-0 and saw his team eliminated via penalties.
