Travis Greene Reacts As House On The Rock Drummer Dies During Church Service
Travis Greene, an American gospel musician, has expressed his condolences to Pastor Paul Adefarasin following the death of Chris Okafor, a drummer at the House on the Rock church.
It was earlier reported that Adefarasin via his Instagram on Monday, confirmed that Chris slumped during church service the previous day and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Chris was said to have died in his prime. He was 36 years old.
The clergy man shared the photo with the caption:
Chris Okafor was full of life, his understanding of music and how beats make your worship experience so much better is a talent that he will be remembered for. Chris served with us in the music ministry arm of HOTR for over 12 years, and while serving, on Sunday, he slumped and was immediately rushed to our in-suite clinic for first aid before being rushed to the hospital.
Since the news of his passing, we have been reflecting on the moments we had with him. We were so proud of all that he had achieved and we knew that he had so much more to manifest as a son of God.
To his wife, Destiny, and life partner, we put our arms around you, knowing that you hurt so deeply. However, be assured that you are not alone, and we will get through this together. To Papa, his aged Dad, who must feel the void so deeply, we commiserate; we hope that the memories of Chris will be a constant reminder of his purpose here on earth, Adefarasin’s post read in parts.
Reacting to the post, the 39-year-old, who has performed at House on the Rock’s annual The Experience concert, wrote: “Prayers up for you all.”
