Uzor Arukwe Takes Lead Role in Nollywood Zombie Movie ‘Alive Till Dawn’
Nigerian actor Uzor Arukwe is set to headline the upcoming Nollywood zombie movie, “Alive Till Dawn,” adding another exciting project to his repertoire following his recent role in the record-breaking film, “A Tribe Called Judah.”
Directed by Leo Obienyi, known for his work as the executive producer and story writer of the 2022 short film “Road to Jabi,” which also revolved around zombies, “Alive Till Dawn” promises to bring a fresh and thrilling perspective to the Nigerian movie landscape.
In an interview for the “What Kept Me Up” report, Arukwe expressed his enthusiasm for the project, highlighting its uniqueness and departure from his previous work. He stated, “I have always wanted to work on projects that feel different from every other film I have acted in. I’m excited about the prospect of this one.”
Written by Daisy Olowu, the movie is set in Abuja and follows the story of an unlikely alliance formed amidst the chaos of a zombie virus outbreak. Civilians, police officers, and criminals find themselves trapped inside a besieged police station, navigating through undead hordes as they strive to reach safety or risk becoming the very monsters they’re fighting against.
While Uzor Arukwe takes on the lead role, further details about the cast are yet to be unveiled as the project enters its pre-production phase. With Arukwe’s talent and the creative vision of director Leo Obienyi, “Alive Till Dawn” is poised to captivate audiences nationwide upon its release in cinemas.
