The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 37 year old mother of two, Joy Sunday, for allegedly pouring hot water on another woman, Justina Ameh, who accused her of dating her husband inside a church.
The suspect was arrested for scalding the face of Ameh, after the latter said she slept with her (Ameh’s) husband.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.
Oyeyemi said the incident happened in Agbado, in the Ifo Local Government Area of the state.

She reported that she went for a vigil at the Spring of Life Global Ministry situated at the Giwa area of Agbado with her younger sister when the suspect came into the church with a container of hot water and poured it on her sister’s face, thereby causing her grievous harm.
“She stated further that while she was trying to hold the suspect, she was also stabbed in her left hand by the suspect.
“Upon the report, the DPO if the Agbado division, CSP Kehinde Kuranga, detailed his men to the scene, where the suspect was promptly arrested.
