Yul Edochie Alleges Death Threats Against Second Wife and Children
Controversial Nollywood actor and pastor, Yul Edochie, has revealed alarming threats against his second wife, Judy Austin, and their two children. Edochie, who has been a polarizing figure since announcing his marriage to Judy, claims that some individuals have plotted to kill Judy and harm their children.
In November 2021, Judy gave birth to their son, Star Munachimso, and on April 21, 2022, Yul publicly introduced her as his second wife. Prior to this, Yul was married to May Edochie for over 17 years, a union that produced four children: one daughter and three sons. The announcement of his second marriage caused a stir, especially as May disclosed that Yul paid Judy’s bride price on April 24, 2022, without her knowledge, leading her to file for divorce in August 2023.
Since going public with his new marriage, Yul has faced significant backlash on social media, becoming a target of criticism and mockery. Alongside Judy, he has been the subject of numerous internet jokes, particularly on Facebook, where they host live videos and share glimpses of their personal lives. These activities have not only attracted a following of critics but also, according to Yul, some dangerous enemies.
In a recent social media post, Yul detailed the extent of the threats, stating that a group of individuals has created social media platforms to bully his fans, friends, and business associates. He mentioned that this group, operating via WhatsApp, has been harassing people, even posting his home address and threatening his children and Judy.
Yul has reported these threats to the police and is offering a one million naira reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible. On Instagram, he wrote, “I heard a group of jobless and foolish people formed a WhatsApp group and social media pages, and they’re using them to threaten my fans, friends, and business associates. Bullying is unacceptable to me or anyone else. I have reported the matter to the police. If anyone calls or texts you to threaten you, please record the call, copy the number and text, and send it to me so I can forward it to the police for tracking them.”
He continued, “I heard they went as far as posting my house address on their platform and threatening to hurt my children and kill Judy. They have crossed the line. You cannot sit in your house and tell another person how to live their life. God punish all of you. I will get you all.”
Yul emphasized the seriousness of the situation, urging anyone who receives threatening communications to record and forward them to him so he can assist the police in tracking down the perpetrators. He called on everyone to support him in this fight against cyberbullying and ensure those responsible face consequences.
